Halley

$280

The fabric of our Halley piece is made by hand with organic cotton threads woven on pedal loom. A special technique is used to weave the threads with loose tension making it a very light wear.

Blue

Its blue shade comes from the process of dyeing over wood fire with indigo plants. While the lapel combines white and brown threads. Both white and brown shades come from natural cotton, without the need to dye.

The piece is woven together on the back using a technique known as randa, traditional of the Oaxacan community.

We highlight our Halley piece with a representation of space comets, woven by hand using the ancient technique of reverse appliqué Mola. This technique originated from the Guna culture, closely connected to the stars and the spiritual realm.

Like the rest of the piece, the comets come to life with organic cotton fabric woven on loom. Its colors come from indigo plants (blue and green shades) and oak bark (brown shades).

Measurements: 128 cms long.

Hand wash with neutral soap and line dry, avoiding direct sunlight.

As part of the artisanal craftsmanship process, slight color variations are possible, as every piece is unique.
